The facility allows to prepare a wide variety of biological samples on site and makes possible studies in the living environment.
Biosafety level 2 laboratories
The cell culture laboratory is confined and labeled BSL2 for the cells culture and level 2 pathogens. It has two rooms, which allow on one side the culture of eukaryotic cells (level 2 cell lines, primary culture, etc.) , and on the other the preparation of bacterial samples.
It is equipped, for the eukaryotic part, with a PSM, a free-rotor centrifuge, a CO2 incubator and an inverted phase-contrast microscope. For the microbiological part, it is also equipped with a PSM, an angular rotor centrifuge, a mini-centrifuge, a heating and cooling bacteriological incubator, a spectrofluorimeter For OD measurement.
Biosafety level 1 laboratories
A BSL 1 cell culture laboratory is also available to users. It is equipped with a PSM, a swing-out centrifuge, a CO2 incubator and an inverted phase-contrast microscope. Access to a culture station in hypoxic conditions is possible in collaboration.
A BSL1 bacteria bench is also available.
Additional facilities
All these spaces adjoin a laundry equipped with a water purifier, a dishwasher, an autoclave, a drying oven, ultrasonic tank and an ice machine.
